Meet these busy bees, Liesa and Michael!
So, I am always on the lookout for a “great” lip balm, and what Liz and I found in New York is that and so much more. We met Liesa and Michael, two of the three people that make up Worker B, at the NY Gift show and were immediately pulled in by their beautiful, handmade booth. Their company is small and based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a team they create hand-crafted lotions and balms with beeswax, raw honey, and organic oils, such as avocado. They are proud of their locally sourced product and the beekeepers they help to support. Worker B collaborates with several local bee-keepers, between the ages of 17 and 70– now that is all kinds of bee-keeping know-how!
The balms and lotions simple and organic ingredients go on smooth and stay put. There are no fillers, and all the ingredients are edible. I have the small tin of balm, and I am beyond sold on this product–I have been carrying it with me everywhere. I use it on my lips, cheeks, hands, and even on my nose when I got a bit sniffly! Michael suggested using the balms on your pets little paws in the winter if they get dry. In addition to the classic balm in three different sizes, we have the Worker B Lotion Bar, and Scented Lotion. Liesa, who races sled dogs in the winter, relies on the product to keep her skin glowing even through harsh outdoor winter conditions (she was the force behind creating the scented lotion).
